ur drag by user9739407

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon leads a five-color Dragon rush that ramps hard, cheats enormous Dragons into play, and converts attack triggers into a snowball of card draw and permanents. The commander's eminence is active from the command zone, so every other Dragon spell comes down one cheaper even before Ur-Dragon itself appears. The deck uses Tiamat and Maelstrom of the Spirit Dragon as tutor packages, Dracogenesis and Hellkite Courser as cheat enablers, and tokens from Ancient Gold Dragon, Miirym, and Utvara Hellkite to kill via combat and Dragon Tempest burns. It can also win with a single big d20 roll plus double-damage effects. The plan is fast but sorcery-speed, vulnerable to board wipes, and not fully deterministic.
