Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats and reanimator deck leverages Witch-king of Angmar as a defensive rattlesnake and free discard outlet while pursuing compact infinite life-drain loops and crushing creature attrition. The deck accelerates through mana doublers like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, quickly assembling value engines with Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Skullclamp, and Black Market Connections. It threatens a definitive win on Turn 5 via an infinite damage loop combining Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity, often tutored and assembled directly through Razaketh, the Foulblooded or reanimation spells. Against creature-heavy boards, Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos systematically strip opposing boards of blockers and commanders. While the deck possesses extreme recovery speed and redundant win lines, its reliance on the graveyard and lack of stack-based interaction make well-timed exile effects its main vulnerability.
