Deck overview

This is an Esper "discard matters" value-control deck built around Toluz, Clever Conductor. Toluz turns every loot, wheel, and cycling effect into a banked hand: cards you discard are exiled under it, then returned to hand when it dies. The deck leans into that loop with Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy // Jace, Telepath Unbound, Likeness Looter, and mass-draw spells like Windfall and Whispering Madness. The discard payoffs - Faith of the Devoted, Feast of Sanity, Archfiend of Ifnir, Dying to Serve, and The Raven Man - convert each cycle into life loss, -1/-1 counters, and tokens. The deck wins by grinding opponents out: massive card advantage via Toluz rebuys, board sweeps from Decree of Pain and Spectacular Pileup, then evasive finishers like Dream Trawler, Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, and Queza, Augur of Agonies. It has no fast infinite combo; inevitability comes from recursion and repeated discard triggers.
