Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis Aristocrats build commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. It leverages dethrone and +1/+1 counter enablers to make its creatures resilient to removal and sacrifice effects, returning them to the battlefield at the beginning of each end step. By combining free sacrifice outlets like Goblin Bombardment, Carrion Feeder, and Warren Soultrader with death-trigger payoffs like The Meathook Massacre and Grim Haruspex, the deck generates overwhelming card flow and incremental damage across all players' turns. Powerful lock pieces such as Glen Elendra Archmage, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Sothera, the Supervoid repeatedly disrupt opposing plans while breaking parity through Marchesa's reanimation. The deck finishes games either through compounding drain loops, unblockable attacks with Herald of Secret Streams, or persist combos involving Puppeteer Clique and Metallic Mimic.
