Commander: Ognis, the Dragon's Lash

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ognis, the Dragon's Lash leads an aggressive Lizard-tribal and haste-centric midrange deck. The strategy revolves around curving out efficient Lizard creatures, using haste and temporary buffs to trigger Ognis for rapid Treasure generation, and leveraging ping effects to satisfy bloodthirst and turn on life-loss triggers. The deck seeks to overwhelm opponents in combat via augmented threats like Ashroot Animist, Gev, Scaled Scorch, and devour creatures such as Thunder-Thrash Elder. The primary win condition is broad, sustained combat damage supplemented by incremental burn, using wide spot removal and Jund utility charms to clear blockers and maintain board control.
