Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy helmed by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan revolves around rapidly establishing mana dorks on Turn 1 and deploying aggressively costed, high-power creatures on Turns 2 and 3—such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Tangleweave Armor. These bodies satisfy Ghalta's affinity-like cost reduction, allowing the 12/12 Elder Dinosaur to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 3 or 4 for just two green mana. Once Ghalta is in play, repeatable draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond continuously replenish hand resources, while explosive burst spells like Rishkar's Expertise draw deep into the deck. The deck closes games swiftly through raw combat pressure, leveraging game-ending force multipliers such as Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Surrak and Goreclaw to trample over opposing defenses. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and lacking stack interaction, its sheer stat density and fast recovery make it a relentless combat powerhouse.
