Deck overview

Baylen, the Haymaker commands a high-velocity Naya token deck that turns disposable creature, Food, and Treasure tokens into explosive mana acceleration, card draw, and combat power. The early turns focus on establishing cheap token generators such as Gala Greeters, Gilded Goose, and Caretaker's Talent. Once Baylen enters play on turn 3 or 4, any token functions as instant-speed engine fuel without suffering from summoning sickness. By turns 5 and 6, the deck transitions from value generation into game-ending pressure through mass token bursts like Grand Crescendo and White Sun's Zenith paired with lethal anthems such as Shared Animosity, Kinbinding, or Eldrazi Monument. A robust suite of instant-speed protection spells, featuring Dawn's Truce and Flare of Fortitude, ensures the board survives opposing sweepers to close out games cleanly.
