Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages 28 copies of Shadowborn Apostle alongside Extus, Oriq Overlord // Awaken the Blood Avatar to execute a focused tribal-aristocrats strategy. The primary game plan revolves around rapidly deploying Apostles during the early turns to trigger their activated ability on Turn 4, searching up Razaketh, the Foulblooded directly onto the battlefield. Once in play, Razaketh converts sacrificial fodder into unrestricted tutors, fetching powerful mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding, Immortal Servitude, and Living Death. These spells return dozens of Apostles at once, enabling secondary tutor activations for game-ending beaters like Sower of Discord and Dreadfeast Demon, or fueling the commander's sorcery side, Awaken the Blood Avatar. While the deck possesses extraordinary graveyard resilience and redundant access to its win conditions, its reliance on 1/1 creatures leaves it vulnerable to early sweepers and graveyard exile effects.
