Deck overview

This is a Rakdos "group slug" deck built around Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, where the entire game plan is to make opponents lose life constantly and then convert that pain into raw card advantage. Valgavoth draws a card every time one of your three opponents loses life for the first time in a turn, so almost every pain permanent in the deck becomes a draw engine and a growing demon. The deck leans heavily on symmetrical life-loss enchantments and creatures: Sulfuric Vortex, Spellshock, Zo-Zu the Punisher, Mogis, God of Slaughter, and Painful Quandary all pressure life totals, while Havoc Festival, Descent into Avernus, and Wound Reflection transform that pressure into a game-ending inevitability. The commander is less a combo piece and more an engine-command that gets the deck at every opponent's first damage event. There are no true infinite loops here; the victory path is drowning the table in chip damage and denying life well.
