Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Homer, the Hermit, focusing on turning land drops into massive asymmetric mill triggers. By combining Homer's scaling mill ability with creature type changers such as Arcane Adaptation, Maskwood Nexus, and Roaming Throne, every land entry mills large chunks of each opponent's library. The deck features a powerful green-based ramp suite, extra land enablers like Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, and resilient graveyard recursion engines including Ancient Greenwarden, Ramunap Excavator, and Aftermath Analyst. Card advantage is sustained through powerhouse engines like The Gitrog Monster, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, and Rhystic Study. While primary victory is achieved by emptying opposing libraries, secondary win conditions such as Field of the Dead provide substantial creature boards. Protection pieces like Sylvan Safekeeper and cheap countermagic keep the combo turns shielded against opposing interaction.
