Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul spell-slinging tempo deck built around The Howling Abomination, a hasty payoff that grows and pings whenever targeted by a spell. The primary plan is to assemble a copy engine-Zada, Hedron Grinder with Mirrorwing Dragon and Leyline of Resonance as backups-alongside Young Pyromancer and Storm-Kiln Artist, then turn one-mana cantrips into mass draw, Treasure, and pump. Secondary paths are Venerated Rotpriest poison from mass targeting, Grapeshot storm, and a huge trampling commander or Zada copy army with double strike. The deck is not really commander-dependent; the hidden commander Zada drives most wins.
