Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger deck is helmed by Fire Lord Azula, who provides burst mana and doubles every spell cast while attacking. The primary game plan curves a Turn 2 mana rock or cost-reducer into a Turn 3 Azula, initiating combat on Turn 4 to double card-draw spells like Big Score and rituals like Seething Song. This explosive resource velocity digs into compact infinite combos, most notably Dualcaster Mage paired with Electroduplicate or Saw in Half, which generate infinite creature tokens and immediate lethal damage. Redundant tutors including Step Through, Drift of Phantasms, and Lim-Dûl's Vault ensure reliable access to combo pieces. A supportive package of cheap counterspells and flash enablers protects the win attempt, while asymmetric wheel synergies with Notion Thief and Narset, Parter of Veils provide devastating alternative lockouts.
