Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Mardu Midrange and Token Control strategy led by Queen Marchesa. The game plan revolves around deploying early defensive pieces, introducing the Monarch mechanic, and leveraging asymmetric card advantage to outgrind opponents. Low-cost token generators such as Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, and Court of Grace provide steady board presence, chump blockers, and sacrifice fodder. A robust removal suite featuring Swords to Plowshares, Stroke of Midnight, and Fracture keeps opposing threats in check while combat deterrents like Windborn Muse and Authority of the Consuls protect your life total and the Monarch crown. In the late game, the deck shifts from attrition to victory through overwhelming token swarms buffed by Caretaker's Talent, high-impact threats like Archon of Cruelty and Archfiend of Despair, or asymmetric board resets like Ruinous Ultimatum and White Sun's Twilight.
