Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black wheel and group-slug strategy led by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Sheoldred early, turning symmetric card draw into asymmetric life swings. Opponents lose 2 life for every card drawn while you gain 2 life, quickly putting the table under severe clock pressure. The deck leverages cards like Teferi's Puzzle Box, Howling Mine, and Dark Deal to accelerate life loss, while using Greed, Necropotence, and Vilis, Broker of Blood to draw massive numbers of cards without paying net life. The deck closes games decisively on Turn 5 using Peer into the Abyss or infinite lifegain/drain combos featuring Exquisite Blood, Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Interaction is heavily focused on efficient creature removal, graveyard exile, and anti-search stax.
