Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue flying-tribal deck helmed by The Lord of the Eagles, an 8/8 flyer whose cost is reduced by the total power of your flying creatures - effectively a "payoff" commander that rewards the deck's critical mass of evasive bodies. The plan is straightforward: deploy a board of flyers, draw heavily off Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Consecrated Sphinx, then cast the commander for cheap and close the game through combat damage amplified by Favorable Winds and Gravitational Shift, accelerated by a suite of eight extra-turn spells. Secondary paths include Inkmoth Nexus poison and Expropriate for extra turns plus theft. The deck plays a controlling, draw-go style with a dense counterspell suite, using extra turns as its finisher rather than any infinite combo.
