saprolings by freescans3

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This list is built around **Ghave, Guru of Spores** as a high-toughness counter-token engine. The plan is to land Ghave early, lay a decisive counter-tutor, then use this commander's activated and triggered abilities to snowball: sacrifice Saprolings to Ghave for spore counters, turn those spores into more Saprolings, and tilt the board with a flood of lifegain, drain, and a massive "go-wide" finisher. Although it is not a fast combo deck, it has real inevakter ability to outvalue and outstart opponents via combat (usually with a very large Craterhoof), and the deck is full of redundancy: every effect multiplies counters and tokens. The commander is a recursive source of sacrifice fodder, and several cards turn each sacrifice into one +1/+1 counter or one 1/1 Saproling.
