Marneus Calgar imperium 40k 2026 Midrange by UUolf

Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar is the engine and payoff of an Esper token-combo deck: every token event draws a card, and the deck abuses that with token doublers and cheap token generators. The primary plan is to chain token creation into Marneus draws, eventually looping Nadir Kraken with a sacrifice outlet and finishing through Marionette Apprentice, Bastion of Remembrance, or Elas il-Kor. Combat is a secondary path via Myrel, Adeline, and Akroma's Will. Zur the Enchanter acts as a hidden tutor for cheap enchantments, and Caretaker's Talent/Gleaming Splendor keep the draw flowing. The deck is resistant to spot removal but dependent on Marneus for velocity and on assembling two or three engine pieces to win.
