Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking, combining traditional Elf tribal acceleration with a potent graveyard-activated engine. In the early game, cheap mana dorks like Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania, and Elvish Archdruid accelerate mana while tutors such as Buried Alive, Final Parting, and Fauna Shaman stock the graveyard with key Elves. Once Thranduil resolves, he inherits all activated abilities of discarded or entombed Elves. The deck's primary win condition utilizes Buried Alive to entomb Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Thranduil places infinite counters via Magistrate, untaps by placing -1/-1 counters via Devoted Druid, and generates infinite mana, instantly draining the table through Jarad. Standalone synergies including Marwyn, the Nurturer with Umbral Mantle provide independent redundancy, while Selfless Safewright and cheap counterspells protect the game-winning combo turn.
