Deck overview

This Temur Lands deck utilizes Borborygmos and Fblthp as a card-advantage engine and creature-control outlet at the helm of an optimized landfall strategy. The deck focuses on accelerating mana in the opening turns with cards like Exploration, Lotus Cobra, and Burgeoning before transitioning into robust land-recursion engines like Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Six, and Crucible of Worlds. It achieves critical onset around Turn 5 by resolving mass-landfall payoffs such as Scapeshift, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, or Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Lethal damage follows quickly through Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle triggers, swarms of tokens from Field of the Dead and Omnath, Locus of Rage, or massive combat phases via Finale of Devastation. Backed by free counterspells and tutorable protection like Sylvan Safekeeper, the deck offers high resilience and seamless noncommander backup plans.
