Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-green stompy strategy built around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on Turn 1 with mana dorks, deploys aggressively overstatted creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, or Gigantosaurus on Turns 2 and 3, and casts a discounted Ghalta as early as Turn 4 for just {G}{G}. Once on the battlefield, Ghalta commands respect as a 12/12 trampler that triggers high-power card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck closes games around Turn 7 using overwhelming combat steps powered by Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, or Surrak and Goreclaw. While it lacks stack-based interaction and tutor-based consistency, its sheer redundancy of massive threats, resilient bodies like Carnage Tyrant, and rapid recovery through high-stat beaters make it a resilient and lethal combat-oriented threat at casual and focused tables.
