Commander: Lightning, Army of One

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One is a Boros damage-amplification deck. The commander is both a 3/2 beater and the deck's key engine: once it connects, every source of damage-combat or noncombat-deals double damage to that player until your next turn. The rest of the list is cheap burn, pingers, extra combat effects, and damage multipliers built to exploit that Stagger trigger. Wins come from stacking Stagger across multiple combats to deal exactly 21 commander damage to each opponent, from turning on Heartless Hidetsugu after Lightning connects, or from amplified burn with Solphim, Torbran, and City on Fire. The deck is fast and aggressive but heavily dependent on its commander surviving combat.
