Deck overview

This Jeskai control deck leverages Aragorn, King of Gondor to establish and protect the Monarch, converting political defense into an unblockable offensive win condition. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and deploying pillowfort pieces such as Ghostly Prison and Propaganda. Once Aragorn enters the battlefield, he immediately crowns you the monarch. As long as you maintain the crown through combat deterrents, fogs, and aikido damage reflection spells like Deflecting Palm and Comeuppance, Aragorn ensures your entire creature suite cannot be blocked whenever he attacks. The deck incorporates a comprehensive Sunforger toolbox, allowing you to tutor instant-speed answers, counterspells, or protection on demand. Late-game wins are achieved by swinging unblockably with token armies from Court of Grace and Forth Eorlingas!, forcing opponents to eliminate each other via Taunt from the Rampart, or directing massive burn through Court of Ire and Brash Taunter.
