Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord commands a Grixis midrange strategy that blends Orc Army beatdown, powerful reanimation, and disruptive wheel synergies. Sauron acts as an engine, amassing armies whenever opponents cast spells and filtering through four fresh cards whenever the Ring tempts you. The deck wins by pairing heavy graveyard recursion like Reanimate and Living Death with massive threats such as Sauron, Lord of the Rings and Archfiend of Ifnir, or by overwhelming life totals through Orcish Siegemaster trample attacks. High-impact draw punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Orcish Bowmasters, and Notion Thief turn symmetrical wheels into game-ending board locks and lethal damage swings.
