Deck overview

This Azorius deck pairs Rhoda, Geist Avenger and Timin, Youthful Geist to turn tapping opposing creatures into a lethal combat engine and defensive lock. Timin guarantees at least four tap triggers across each turn rotation, steadily growing Rhoda into a massive threat while opening paths past opposing blockers. An extensive control suite—featuring mass-tap spells like Blustersquall, stax elements like Blind Obedience, and card draw engines like Verity Circle and Hylda of the Icy Crown—keeps aggressive opponents at bay while stocking your hand with reactive answers. Once Rhoda reaches lethal commander damage thresholds, evasion tools and countermagic ensure rapid eliminations. If combat stalls, the deck pivots cleanly to token swarms from Deekah, Fractal Theorist or an alternate win condition through Approach of the Second Sun. The result is a resilient tempo-control strategy that punishes creature-heavy boards while maintaining strong late-game inevitability.
