Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos Dragon strategy commanded by Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug converts noncombat damage dealt to himself into an equal number of Treasure tokens. Because Smaug is an 8/7 creature with flying, haste, and indestructible, he safely survives the deck's own mass-damage spells. Early turns focus on mana acceleration and deploying passive drain permanents. On turn 5 or 6, resolving Blasphemous Act or Chain Reaction deals 13 damage to Smaug without destroying him, immediately generating 13 or more Treasures. Drain engines such as Reckless Fireweaver, Mayhem Devil, and Nadier's Nightblade weaponize these entering and sacrificed tokens to drain the entire table. Alternatively, Hellkite Tyrant turns the sudden hoard of artifacts into an outright win on the following upkeep. Lean interaction like Bolt Bend, Pyroblast, and Terminate disrupts opponents while protecting the winning turn sequence.
