Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats combo list helmed by Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight. The primary strategy leverages early low-cost utility creatures to cast Eirdu ahead of curve using convoke, then transforms Eirdu into Isilu to grant every nontoken creature persist. This sets up an infinite sacrifice loop between Isilu, an undying creature like Butcher Ghoul, and a free sacrifice outlet such as Bartolomé del Presidio. Because persist and undying counters cancel out upon entering the battlefield, the loop repeats indefinitely to trigger life-draining payoffs like Blood Artist and Vengeful Bloodwitch for an immediate turn 5 win. Rich card-draw engines and efficient tutors ensure high consistency in finding combo pieces. The list features strong engine recovery through multiple recursion engines, though it carries vulnerabilities to instant-speed removal, graveyard hate, and limited stack protection.
