treasure smaug by user6444924

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Built around Smaug the Magnificent's attack trigger, this mono-red Treasure deck wants to stack a large number of artifacts, then convert them into one-shot snipes with damage multipliers. The primary plan is to spam Treasure producers, deploy Smaug with haste, and use his trigger to remove blockers or dome opponents once the count reaches double digits. Secondary lines include dragon beatdown with equipment and a hidden Smaug token from There and Back Again, whose death creates fourteen Treasures. Hellkite Tyrant supplies a pure artifact-count win. The commander is cheap and fast, but the real engine is the Treasure economy; without a multiplier, Smaug's trigger is just chip damage.
