Deck overview

Tuya Bearclaw leads a Gruul creature deck that ramps into large threats and converts their power into combat pressure. The core pattern is to develop lands with Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Farhaven Elf, or Skyshroud Claim, deploy Tuya Bearclaw beside a large creature, and amplify attacks with Thunderfoot Baloth, Stonebrow, Krosan Hero, Garruk's Uprising, or Unnatural Growth. Rhythm of the Wild, Swiftfoot Boots, and The Fire Crystal sometimes provide haste, but the deck cannot consistently assemble them with the required creatures. Its draw engines are respectable once large creatures enter, and its removal can answer several permanent types. Its main limits are expensive spells, weak tutoring, limited protection, and the absence of a deterministic finish. Extra-combat cards can create explosive turns, but they remain conditional and do not reliably eliminate all three opponents from 40 life.
