Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul turbo build helmed by Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers. The game plan focuses on aggressive mana acceleration to deploy the seven-mana commander on Turn 2 or Turn 3. Thanks to built-in haste, the commander attacks immediately, triggering its ability to reveal cards from the top of the library and put a massive creature directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The creature package is intentionally trimmed to only six game-winning threats, including Port Razer, Old Gnawbone, Blightsteel Colossus, and Raphael, Tag Team Tough. These hits create cascading combat steps, generate overwhelming Treasure mana, or eliminate opponents with infect. The deck backs up this proactive blitz with a dedicated suite of free and one-mana protective spells like Deflecting Swat, Not of This World, and Veil of Summer. While extremely fast and lethal, the deck relies heavily on combat and offers minimal disruption against opposing fast combo decks.
