Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Pirate tribal deck led by the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost, evasive Pirates to trigger Malcolm's Treasure production and Breeches's impulse theft every combat step. This dual engine generates significant mana velocity and card advantage without draining hand resources. The accumulated Treasures allow the deck to pivot into powerful midgame threats like Angrath's Marauders, Port Razer, Coercive Recruiter, or temporary board-theft spells like Mob Rule. Additionally, the deck contains an efficient two-card infinite combo between Malcolm and Glint-Horn Buccaneer that can instantly eliminate the table during combat. Supported by versatile interaction and tempo tools, the deck plays an active, aggressive game that applies continuous pressure across all opponents.
