Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red burn and spellslinger strategy centered on Hawkeye, Young Avenger. Hawkeye turns every instance of noncombat damage into heavy burst damage by adding his power to each damage event. The deck accelerates in the early turns using mana rocks and cost reducers like Ruby Medallion, then establishes Hawkeye alongside power-boosting equipment such as Blackblade Reforged or spell-trigger pingers like Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription. Once assembled, cheap burn spells and global damage effects like Boltwave and Tectonic Hazard deal massive amplified damage across all opponents simultaneously. The deck converts this damage into overwhelming mana and card advantage through engines like Neheb, the Eternal, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Virtue of Courage, which impulsively exiles large portions of the library. This resource surge enables a decisive finish via explosive X-spells like Crackle with Power or a massive Mizzix's Mastery turn, closing the game around Turn 6 with minimal response windows.
