Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck leverages Avacyn, Angel of Horror to turn standard sacrifice engines into a recurring end-step loop. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Warren Soultrader alongside passive drain effects such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Ayara, First of Locthwain. Once Avacyn, Angel of Horror enters the battlefield, any nontoken creature sacrificed on any player's turn returns at the beginning of that turn's end step. This enables players to sacrifice their board on all four turns in each rotation, draining opponents repeatedly and recycling devastating enters-the-battlefield abilities from cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vile Mutilator. While the strategy possesses extreme functional redundancy and rapid recovery from board wipes, its interaction is heavily sorcery-speed and lacks protection against graveyard exile replacement effects.
