Pirate Theft by user5523012

Format: Commander

Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Don Andres, the Renegade is the payoff of a theft deck: creatures you steal become Pirate attackers with +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, and casting stolen noncreature spells makes Treasure. The primary plan is to borrow opponents' creatures with Act of Treason effects, attack with them, then sacrifice or permanently keep them. Secondary paths are Pirate tribal combat powered by Shared Animosity and Port Razer, plus mass-theft finishers such as Insurrection and Blatant Thievery. Don is an enhancer rather than the engine; the deck leans on theft pieces and sacrifice outlets. There is no hidden commander; Breeches and Malcolm are support cards. Wins are interactive and incremental, with a late-game blowout available if the board has enough creatures.
