Deck overview

This is a UW group-hug / draw-matters control deck helmed by Kwain, Itinerant Meddler, whose tap ability gives every player a card and a point of life. The deck weaponizes that symmetry: Smothering Tithe converts opponent draws into Treasures, Alhammarret's Archive doubles every draw and life gain, and a cluster of "draw your second card" payoffs - Minn, Wily Illusionist, Mischievous Mystic, Homunculus Horde, Emrakul's Messenger, and Thopter Fabricator - turn card flow into a board. A dense pillowfort suite (Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Norn's Annex, Windborn Muse, War Tax, Silent Arbiter) keeps the table off you while you assemble a win. The primary win conditions are alternate: Approach of the Second Sun, Laboratory Maniac/Jace, Wielder of Mysteries self-mill, Felidar Sovereign/Test of Endurance life totals, and the hard Decree of Silence + Solemnity lock. It's a slow, grindy control deck that wins through inevitability rather than speed.
