Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Abigale, Eloquent First-Year to convert heavily undercosted creatures with severe drawbacks into massive flying, first strike, lifelink threats. By deploying creatures like Lupine Prototype, Rotting Regisaur, Nyxathid, and Traxos, Scourge of Kroog on turns 2 and 3, casting Abigale on turn 4 permanently erases their negative static and triggered abilities while granting key combat keywords. The deck protects its board and retriggers enter-the-battlefield effects using a dense package of low-cost blink instants such as Ephemerate and Cloudshift. Combat damage with lifelink triggers powerful attrition and drain engines including Witch of the Moors, Tivash, Gloom Summoner, and Vizkopa Guildmage to close out games across turns 6 through 8. While vulnerable to mass sweepers and lacking stack counterplay, the deck delivers consistent early pressure, robust single-target protection, and commanding life totals.
