Commander: Celes, Rune Knight

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Celes, Rune Knight helms an explosive Mardu combo deck centered on persist creature loops and copy-spell win conditions. Celes provides an essential card-filtering engine on entry, while her static ability places a +1/+1 counter on all your creatures whenever a creature enters from the graveyard. This counters the -1/-1 penalty from persist, allowing creatures like Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, Obstinate Gargoyle, and Murderous Redcap to sacrifice themselves infinitely to outlets like Goblin Bombardment, Blasting Station, Carrion Feeder, or Altar of Dementia. Supported by classic Dualcaster Mage lines and fast reanimation, the deck quickly transitions from early disruption into decisive combo victories.
