Deck overview

This is a high-power Izzet storm deck helmed by Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy, built to go off early and often by chaining rituals, cantrips, and cost reducers into a massive storm count. The front face's "instant and sorcery spells cost {1} less" ability is the engine that makes the rituals nearly free, while the back face's -8 ultimate acts as a "mini Mind's Desire," exiling the top eight cards and casting instants and sorceries without paying their mana costs. Primary win lines are Grapeshot, Brain Freeze, and Mind's Desire off a high storm count, with Past in Flames and Underworld Breach providing recursion for a second wave. The deck is a glass cannon: explosive, heavily ritual-dependent, and capable of turn-3 nut draws with a median kill around turns 4-5.
