Deck overview

This Esper control/drain deck is helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, converting each high-mana-value noncreature spell into direct damage, lifegain, and card draw. The primary strategy chains 3+ MV instant and sorcery draw spells (Ambition's Cost, Ancient Craving, Circle of Power) to trigger Y'shtola's 2-damage ping to each opponent and her end-step card draw condition. Incremental burn from Underworld Dreams, Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, and Wizard tokens amplifies the life-loss clock. Goad auras (Coercive Impetus, Parasitic Impetus) redirect opposing creatures away while the deck accumulates life. The primary win condition is an overloaded Exsanguinate or Debt to the Deathless, with attritional drain as a backup path.
