Commander: Bhaal, Lord of Murder

Deck overview

This is a Jund goad-and-sacrifice hybrid built around Bhaal, Lord of Murder. Bhaal converts every nontoken death into a +1/+1 counter and a goad trigger, feeding both halves of the deck: aristocrats-style drain and forced combat. The 99 is packed with goad effects such as Disrupt Decorum, Kardur, Doomscourge, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and the Impetus auras, while the actual kill condition is a compact sacrifice loop using Pitiless Plunderer, Phyrexian Altar/Ashnod's Altar, and self-recurring bodies like Reassembling Skeleton. Wins come from looping deaths through Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Mayhem Devil. Goad keeps opponents fighting each other while Mahadi, Emporium Master and Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer generate treasures, allowing the deck to pivot from chaos into an infinite-damage kill in a single turn. It is a midrange grinder that does not rely on the commander to function.
