Budget Karlach's Fist by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Flaming Fist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros Equipment Voltron deck is built around Karlach, Fury of Avernus paired with the Flaming Fist Background. The primary game plan is to deploy Karlach as early as possible, suit her up with power-boosting equipment and auras, and leverage her attack trigger - untap all attackers and gain an extra combat phase - combined with double strike from the Background. The deck accelerates with a dense suite of mana rocks and cost-reducers like Danitha Capashen, Paragon and Bruenor Battlehammer, then uses a mix of creature-based tutors (Heliod's Pilgrim, Relic Seeker, Astor, Bearer of Blades) to find the right pieces. Card draw engines such as Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, and Mesa Enchantress keep the hand full. The deck can also pivot to alternate extra-combat sources like Raiyuu, Storm's Edge and Response // Resurgence if Karlach is unavailable. The endgame is a fast commander-damage kill, often taking out two opponents in a single turn with a suited-up Karlach.
