Uncle Iroh of the white lotus by user9581501

Format: Commander

Commander: Iroh, Grand Lotus

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Temur deck helmed by Iroh, Grand Lotus leans heavily into the Lesson and Bending mechanics from the Avatar set, aiming to generate repeatable value through the commander's flashback ability. The primary game plan is to cast noncreature spells to fuel Caldera Pyremaw and Firebrand Archer while animating lands via Earthbend and Waterbend to build an overwhelming combat board. Iroh allows you to recast instants and sorceries from the graveyard (Lessons for just {1}), giving the deck strong grinding potential. The deck lacks infinite combos and relies on incremental damage and midrange combat to close out the game.
