Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis synergy powerhouse commanded by Norman Osborn // Green Goblin. In the early turns, Norman Osborn attacks unblocked to connive, sculpting the hand and stocking the graveyard. Once transformed into Green Goblin on Turn 4, every nonland card discarded gains Mayhem with a {2} generic mana discount, effectively turning the graveyard into a discounted second hand. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by deploying game-ending payoffs such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Archfiend of Ifnir, Attunement, or Windfall. Opponents suffer rapid life drain from discard and draw triggers while creature boards are repeatedly decimated by -1/-1 counters. Free commander protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat safeguard key turns, allowing the deck to close out the game around Turn 7 via chained wheel effects and reanimated combat threats.
