Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange combat strategy built around legendary creatures, dragons, and death triggers. Gimli, Mournful Avenger provides early board presence, accumulating counters and fighting opposing threats whenever your creatures perish. In the early game, you deploy efficient mana dorks, equipment, and low-cost Dwarves to contest the board. As the game develops, you pivot into high-impact threats like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Terastodon, and Smaug the Magnificent. You close games through overwhelmed defenses via trample, evasion from Rogue's Passage, combat card advantage with Ohran Frostfang, or direct burst damage using Fling and burn abilities.
