Deck overview

This deck executes a dedicated Owling Mine strategy commanded by Kami of the Crescent Moon. The game plan accelerates card draw for the entire table to force opponents into holding maximum hand sizes, then punishes them through symmetrical upkeep burn and draw-trigger life loss. Early turns focus on establishing cheap symmetric draw engines like the commander, Anvil of Bogardan, and Dictate of Kruphix, while keeping hands stocked. In the midgame, the deck deploys scaling punishers such as Iron Maiden, Viseling, and Psychosis Crawler, copying them with clones like Phyrexian Metamorph and Mirrormade. Because giving opponents resources creates substantial combat and combo threats, the deck relies on a dense suite of instant-speed mass bounce spells and free pitch counterspells to reset opposing boards and protect its win conditions. Games finish between Turns 6 and 8 via accumulated upkeep damage, massive Windfall bursts, or library depletion through Forced Fruition and Folio of Fancies.
