Elves 3.0 by DNice

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai Elfball deck built around turning cheap Elves into massive mana, using the graveyard as a second hand, and finishing through either a giant overrun combat step or an infinite-mana loop. Thranduil, the Elvenking is a value engine rather than a strict combo piece: he draws two cards whenever another legendary Elf enters, and once Elves are in the graveyard he can copy their activated abilities - tapping for mana like Priest of Titania, tutoring like Fauna Shaman, pumping like Ezuri, Renegade Leader, or draining like Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The primary win paths are a Craterhoof Behemoth-style alpha strike, Lathril, Blade of the Elves / Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord life-drain, and a Staff of Domination + high-powered Elf mana dork infinite-mana line.
