Deck overview

Built around Sauron, the Dark Lord, this Grixis deck is an amass-and-reanimate midrange engine. Sauron converts every opponent spell into Army growth and every Ring temptation into a discard-your-hand-draw-four refill, simultaneously feeding the graveyard and the hand. The 99 supports that loop with redundant amass/ring-tempt pieces (Dreadhorde Invasion, March from the Black Gate, Call of the Ring), discard payoffs (Containment Construct, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Squee, Goblin Nabob), and a genuine reanimation suite (Reanimate, Living Death, Extract from Darkness, Too Greedily, Too Deep). Wins are combat-driven: a gigantic Orc Army, a 9/9 Wraith swarm from Lord of the Nazgul, mass temporary theft from In the Darkness Bind Them, and extra attacks from Scourge of the Throne, with incidental table drain from Psychosis Crawler and The Great Goblin. There are no infinite combos; inevitability comes from value, recursion, and overwhelming boards.
