Deck overview

This is an Abzan toughness-matters deck helmed by Felothar the Steadfast, who turns every creature's toughness into its combat damage, lets defenders attack, and doubles as a repeatable draw engine by sacrificing high-toughness bodies. The deck layers redundant toughness-as-power enablers - Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, The Kingpin of Crime, and Doran, Besieged by Time - behind a wall of oversized butts like Indomitable Ancients, Tree of Redemption, and Canopy Gargantuan. It wins through massive combat damage, Betor, Kin to All's life-halving trigger at 40 total toughness (amplified by Wound Reflection), and the Tree of Perdition + Triskaidekaphobia 13-life combo. A robust recursion package (Valkyrie's Call, Luminous Broodmoth, Perennation, Nethroi, Apex of Death) keeps the board rebuilding through wipes.
