Deck overview

This mono-black commander deck is piloted by Ghoulcaller Gisa and centers around a classic Zombie tribal aristocrats and token swarm strategy. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early synergistic Zombies, lords, and card-draw engines, followed by casting Gisa to convert individual creatures into wide armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Once a substantial board is established, the deck applies pressure through wide combat attacks boosted by tribal lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, or via direct life-drain effects from cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Vengeful Dead, and Gruesome Fate. The deck features powerful asymmetric creature wipes with Noxious Ghoul and consistent recursion through Lord of the Undead and Oversold Cemetery. While it boasts strong card draw and resilience against attrition, its main vulnerabilities lie in the lack of stack interaction, reliance on Gisa surviving a turn cycle without protection, and inability to interact with opposing artifacts.
