Deck overview

This Jeskai deck commands Captain America, First Avenger to transform massive Equipment costs into explosive combat damage and direct burn. By taking advantage of Captain America's 'Catch' ability at the start of combat, the deck cheats expensive equip costs on cards like Excalibur, Sword of Eden, Colossus Hammer, and Kaldra Compleat. Once equipped, Captain America swings for lethal chunks of commander damage before using 'Throw' to unattach the gear and fling its mana value as direct damage to any target. Damage doublers and triplers such as Fiery Emancipation, City on Fire, and Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor accelerate this clock into one-shot table eliminations. A suite of efficient interaction, artifact tutors, and free protection spells ensures the commander lands early and stays protected through closing turns.
