Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch commands a Jund aristocrats and -1/-1 counters engine that turns attrition into overwhelming card advantage and life drain. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with two-mana ramp to deploy Auntie Ool alongside synergistic counter generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Scuzzback Scrounger. Once assembled on Turn 4, every -1/-1 counter placed on friendly creatures draws cards, while counters placed on opposing creatures drain life totals. On Turn 5, high-impact pieces like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Blowfly Infestation, or Soul Snuffers seize control of the board, wiping opposing creatures and spawning large token swarms. The deck can close games through the infinite loop of Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs, or grind opponents down by Turn 7 through combat damage and drain from Grave Venerations. Opposing creature strategies struggle against Kulrath Knight and Necroskitter, creating a suffocating battlefield.
